Our Space of Possibilities : Saturday, June 24th

At the heart of the East Portland Cultural Corridor project is “Our Space of Possibilities,” a dynamic art initiative housed in a TriMet bus. This mobile cultural and social space, conceived by artist-in-residence Patricia Vázquez Gómez, will be sited at four locations along SE Division St between June 3rd and June 24th. The project will showcase exhibitions, performances, workshops, and video screenings primarily produced by local East Portland organizations and residents.

UPDATED LOCATION! Join us for the last day of “Our Space of Possibilities” this Saturday, June 24th, on SE 138th at SE Division St. from 12-8 pm. This week, DJ Anjali will host a dance party, and SiempreViva will serve ice cream!
💌 All day, view the exhibition, “How do you love East Portland?” by the Art Crew at APANO Grace, Takaaki and Jose. This exhibition explores how street artists express their love of East Portland, asking us to respond to the same question. Learn about anti-displacement efforts happening, and co-weave your visions for this neighborhood into the exhibition.
🖌️ At 1 pm, attend a collective printmaking workshop with Thea Gahr.
🎨 At 3 pm, join Aden Catalani for a spray painting workshop!
🎥 At 5 pm, view the films: “Brave New Voices,” “Food Foray,” “Poloetic,” “I Dream of Gresham” & “The Whole Wide World” from Metro East Community Media. Then watch “Niña,” a music video of Reyna Tropical by Karina Lomeli Ripper and Marc Ripper. After, catch “The Numbers” Sika Stanton.
🎵 At 6 pm, join us for the closing dance party with DJ Anjali & enjoy some ice cream by SiempreViva.
“Our Space of Possibilities” was created by Patricia Vázquez Gómez. The project is funded by an Our Town Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT), TriMet & RACC. #raccpublicart #PDX
