Join us for a night of poetry, drag, burlesque and community to raise funds for Mohammed & his family in Gaza.

Portland For Palestine (PFP) is a fundraising series and a boycott effort.

For us it is also a call to action.

We believe artists have the responsibility to curate artistic spaces that aren’t merely a distraction, rather, are responsive to our local and global community in alignment with our collective liberation.

We divest from the zionist networks that are prevalent in the comedy and art scene in Portland, and resist by creating our own spaces.

Doors at 5:15 PM / Show Starts at 6:00 PM

While bombs tear apart the sky DJ Anjali and The Incredible Kid tear up the Spare Room with bass bombs and sonic artillery that serve up nerve-calming barrages compared to the neighborhood conflagrations. Don’t have pets to care for or they are drugged at home? Come dance. American democracy is only 61 years old, dating to the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and it looks like the people who still remember those days before democracy are trying to drag us back. So, Anjali and The Kid throw a dance party for the people solidarity style. Genres be damned, Or so says Anjali.

For this all-vinyl gig expect to hear vintage Bollywood and Kollywood, Panjabi folk, Cha cha cha, Boogaloo, Salsa, Sitar Rock, International Funk, Jazz, Soul, Mod & any number of obscurities from their international record collections.
