    Daniela Karina (she/they) finds inspiration in emerging diasporic sounds and peak after hours dance floors. They bring the fringes of global club culture to the Pacific Northwest with an emphasis on building an international community of genre-blenders and border-crossers. Daniela has shared the stage with the likes of DJ Lag, 8ULENTINA, Dengue Dengue Dengue!, Tayhana, and Branko.

    When was the last time we all took a moment to celebrate our wins? PPAO’s Pink Party is our annual event to center joy, celebration and community in the face of an anti-abortion movement that seeks to control and isolate us. From driving 1000+ emails in support of HB2002, to voting in reproductive health champions for school board seats across the state, PPAO and Planned Parenthood PAC of Oregon supporters deserve a victory lap!

    The lively, lovely, unlicensed gastroenterologist Nicole Onoscopi was raised in Albany, Oregon but discovered the art of drag six years ago while working as an actor in New York City. In 2020, Nicole came back home to Oregon and just recently moved to Portland with her husband. A former Miss Gay Oregon, Nicole now reigns as the current Miss Northwest Fierce. Nicole is known for her live vocals and exuberant energy which she brings to her popular drag brunches and bingos throughout Portland and beyond!

    Atlas happened monthly at Holocene throughout that venue’s first 10 years of existence. According to the story of ATLAS, written by The Incredible Kid: “The first ATLAS was November 1st, 2003. It was the day after a Friday Halloween, and the club was dead. Probably less than a hundred people.     E3 (Ezra E. Ereckson) is a producer, DJ, and co-boss of Portland-based dub label ZamZam Sounds (alongside Tracy/Polygon Press). Founded in 2012, the couple celebrated 10 years of vinyl-only releases last summer with a curated stage at the Outlook UK festival. A founding member of the pioneering agit-dub band Systemwide and the president of now-retired seminal US dub label BSI Records, E3 has been collecting records since the age of 13 and holding down DJ residencies since 2000- including Bassism, Signal, and a nearly-10 year run at Holocene’s legendary Atlas party alongside Anjali & The Incredible Kid. E3 has performed worldwide, including slots at Outlook Croatia, Telerama Dub Festival, New Forms Festival, and several times at Leeds UK institution SubDub. Alongside production partner Alter Echo, E3’s releases appear on dubwise labels including Scrub A Dub, Moonshine, Lion Charge, LavaLava, and Khaliphonic. Solo, E3 has tracks and releases on Hotline, Bella Union, Boomarm Nation, 45Seven, and Gourmet Beats.

  • Our Space of Possibilities : Saturday, June 24th

    At the heart of the East Portland Cultural Corridor project is “Our Space of Possibilities,” a dynamic art initiative housed in a TriMet bus. This mobile cultural and social space, conceived by artist-in-residence Patricia Vázquez Gómez, will be sited at four locations along SE Division St between June 3rd and June 24th. The project will showcase exhibitions, performances, workshops, and video screenings primarily produced by local East Portland organizations and residents.

    UPDATED LOCATION! Join us for the last day of “Our Space of Possibilities” this Saturday, June 24th, on SE 138th at SE Division St. from 12-8 pm. This week, DJ Anjali will host a dance party, and SiempreViva will serve ice cream!
    ? All day, view the exhibition, “How do you love East Portland?” by the Art Crew at APANO Grace, Takaaki and Jose. This exhibition explores how street artists express their love of East Portland, asking us to respond to the same question. Learn about anti-displacement efforts happening, and co-weave your visions for this neighborhood into the exhibition.
    ?️ At 1 pm, attend a collective printmaking workshop with Thea Gahr.
    ? At 3 pm, join Aden Catalani for a spray painting workshop!
    ? At 5 pm, view the films: “Brave New Voices,” “Food Foray,” “Poloetic,” “I Dream of Gresham” & “The Whole Wide World” from Metro East Community Media. Then watch “Niña,” a music video of Reyna Tropical by Karina Lomeli Ripper and Marc Ripper. After, catch “The Numbers” Sika Stanton.
    ? At 6 pm, join us for the closing dance party with DJ Anjali & enjoy some ice cream by SiempreViva.

    DJ BLACK DARIA

    DJ Black Daria is a Black American + Mexican DJ located in Mexico City, originally from Portland, Oregon USA. She is a creative director, music supervisor, radio host and curator of sounds and spaces that center the Afro-Latinx experience. Past projects include Netflix, Subaru, MTV, Nike and more. Her DJ experience includes Bahidorá festival, The Do-Over by Adidas, Diáspora, Fino Club, Sungay Brunch, sic, Rico Club and has opened for notable acts such as Jared Jackson (Soulection) and Channel Tres. She is the creator of Blaq Planet, a CDMX party for Black + Afrolatinx and queer djs, and creator of Combahee Collection Radio on Radio Nopal.
